What was the
challenge?
The challenge was to develop a comprehensive platform capable of enabling real-time collaboration between human operators and artificial intelligence systems, integrating multiple advanced technological services into a critical operating environment. Novathena needed a solution tailored to highly regulated sectors such as healthcare and manufacturing, where precision, protocol compliance, and operational efficiency are essential. The platform had to be scalable, high-performance, and offer a clear and reliable user experience for different profiles: operators, supervisors, and auditors. In addition, the system had to integrate real-time AI inferences with 3D visualizations using digital twins, maintaining stability and low latency in intensive use contexts.

Designing for critical operating environments
We designed a user experience focused on clarity, efficiency, and error reduction. Each flow was designed to accompany complex training processes, allowing users to interact with AI and digital twins in an intuitive and controlled manner. We worked on interfaces adapted to different roles, ensuring accessibility to critical information in real time.

Real-time AI integrated with 3D visualization
We developed the central platform using Angular for the frontend and a scalable backend built with Node.js, Nest.js, and Python, capable of processing AI inferences in real time. We implemented digital twins in Unity to represent complex operations in 3D, allowing processes, states, and actions to be visualized in real time. The integration between AI, backend, and 3D visualization resulted in a robust and highly interactive system.
